For me, fashion design has never just been about clothes. It’s always been about curiosity, exploring new possibilities, and finding ways to express myself. When I studied fashion, I realized pretty quickly that the lessons I was learning in school weren’t just for fabrics and sketches—they were lessons I could carry into everyday life.
My very first fashion show was during my studies in Zürich, and I can still feel the mix of nerves and excitement. The preparation itself was a challenge—long nights, endless adjustments, and the constant worry about whether it would all come together in time. The collection wasn’t perfect—some pieces were clunky, a few things didn’t turn out the way I had imagined—but seeing my designs walk down a runway was something I’ll always be proud of. It was the first time I learned that creativity isn’t about perfection, it’s about daring to take that first step, even when it feels overwhelming.

Not long after, I received my very first Mode Suisse invitation—Switzerland’s biggest fashion event. I remember the buzz in the room, the lights, the energy of the crowd, and how inspiring it felt to be surrounded by so many bold ideas. Every year, more invitations followed, and with each one came that same spark of excitement—a reminder that creativity can also grow from simply observing, learning, and being part of a larger creative world.

One of the experiences I had always dreamed of was visiting Mood Fabrics in New York. Walking in for the first time was pure magic. Endless shelves stacked with silks, laces, vibrant prints, and textures as far as the eye could see—it was like stepping into a treasure trove of possibilities. I wandered for hours, running my hands over fabrics, imagining how they could be transformed, feeling both humbled and exhilarated by the sheer scale of inspiration around me. The colors, patterns, and energy of the place sparked ideas in ways I had never experienced before. It was a creative wonderland, and I left feeling renewed, motivated, and reminded that inspiration truly can come from anywhere.

From the streets you walk and the people you meet, to the small details you notice each day, a bit of color, a texture, a kind smile, creativity has a way of quietly showing up. Sometimes it’s in the nerves of preparing for a fashion show, other times in the simple joy of learning through mistakes, or even in the awe of stepping into a fabric wonderland far from home. Creativity has a way of showing up in unexpected places, and sometimes simply being open to it is all you need.
These moments and lessons have stayed with me and continue to shape how I approach creativity every day:
- Play with colors and textures: Mix unexpected things—whether it’s in an outfit, a recipe, or how you decorate your office or home.
- Experiment freely: Not everything will work out, and that’s OK. Mistakes often lead to the best discoveries.
- Notice the details: A little touch here and there can tell a whole story.
- Look everywhere for inspiration: Cities, nature, conversations—there’s creativity hidden in the everyday.
- Trust your instincts: The more you create, the more you realize your taste and vision are worth trusting.
At Peerspace, that’s what we believe creativity is all about. It doesn’t need to be forced. It just needs room to breathe, a cozy space to explore, and a little permission to slow down and let inspiration find you. Just like in fashion, where one detail or brave choice can change the whole picture, our studio was created to give people that same chance—to try, to play, to gather, and to be inspired in their own way.
